Our Footprint

Facilities: We measure and identify ways to reduce our energy, materials and water usage.

Employees: We measure and identify ways to reduce the impact of our commuting and business travel.

Projects include:

  • Baseline Expeditors' carbon footprint and establish green house gas reduction goals
  • Create paperless work environments in various departments throughout the company

Our Customers' Footprint

Transportation: We help customers measure the environmental impact associated with the global transportation of their goods. From there, we work closely with them to reduce this impact by improving container/truck utilization, converting shipments to lower-emission modes, and by optimizing routes to reduce distances traveled.

Warehouse: We help our customers to use only the space they need in our warehouses and we optimize energy and materials usage in our warehouses.

Projects include:

  • Consolidate and optimize shipment loads
  • Develop tools for customers to calculate their carbon footprint
