Project Cargo Services
Project Cargo Services is a division of Expeditors that provides specialized cargo transportation services to shippers of heavy and over dimensional equipment and integrated project logistics management for engineering, procurement and construction companies servicing energy, mining, chemical, petrochemical, pipeline, infrastructure and other sectors.
Strategically placed project cargo specialists within Expeditors global network encompass the needed experience and capabilities for heavy lift, oversized breakbulk shipments or other logistical challenges that are encountered when dealing within the project execution arena.
The complex requirements that encompass project cargo execution require "out of the box" thinking in order to create and implement effective solutions. Early projection of transportation costs by tailoring a customized transportation plan is one of the value adds of the Project Cargo group. On site planning meetings with the customer are crucial to ensuring proper routings and the safest, most efficient method of transport. These are key ingredients that prove to our customers again and again the value that the experienced members of Expeditors' Project Cargo group bring to the table each and every time.
Vessels of Concern
Expeditors strictly prohibits its carriers, representatives, agents and any other person or entity that handles an Expeditors' shipment from utilizing or otherwise dealing with any Specially Designated National (SDN) or prohibited vessel as designated by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the U.S. Department of Treasury. This includes, without limitation, the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL), its vessels, and any other vessel owned, operated or chartered by IRISL or by any other Iranian interests. In addition to the vessels identified by OFAC, Expeditors also maintains its own list of entities and vessels of concern.
